Richard Guise

Context 4D
Richard is a chartered architect and town planner with over forty years’ experience. He is principal of his Bristol-based urban design consultancy, Context4D, and specialises in design guidance and negotiation, sustainability, urban design frameworks and characterisation. Formerly course leader of the MA Urban Design programme at UWE, Richard is an Academician of the Academy of Urbanism and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He co-authored ‘Shaping Neigbourhoods’ and ‘Characterising Neighbourhoods’.

Patricia is a founding director of Mei Loci Landscape Architects. Her expertise lies in the design of public realm, parks and gardens, and heritage settings with award-winning projects completed across the UK, including Lesnes Abbey Woods in London; Penzance Promenade, Cornwall, and numerous town centre regeneration projects across Cornwall. Her work integrates ecology, archaeology, and stakeholder engagement to create meaningful landscapes, focusing on education, well-being, and community involvement. Patricia is also an associate lecturer in garden and landscape design at the Eden Project.
Jo Hibbert

Jo is Conservation Director of Levitate and has extensive experience in conserving, restoring, and renovating listed buildings. After graduating from Sheffield University in 2007, Jo worked with English Heritage as the ICOMOS Summer Scholar (New York) and worked for Acanthus Ferguson Mann Architects upon completion of her diploma. In 2002 Jo was awarded a SPAB Lethaby Scholarship. Jo is church architect for significant churches throughout the southwest, sits on the Exeter DAC, and is studio tutor for the final year of Diploma at Bath University.

James is Development Director at Studio HIVE, an innovative Bristol-based property developer. He previously worked as Associate Director of Urban Splash and at Gleeds, JLL, and Chesterton. A qualified Building Surveyor, James branched into Development and Project Management of mixed-use heritage and led projects including Lakeshore, Bristol and Royal William Yard, Plymouth. James has been involved with the redevelopment of Deepcut Barracks and Filton and regeneration projects in Bristol & Weston-super-Mare. James has served on the Torbay Design Review Panel for 10 years.
Sarah John

Sarah has reported on listed buildings within the Devon and Cornwall area, researched much of Exeter’s Regency fabric, undertaken research on the listed buildings of Topsham and carried out faculty work for the Church of St Mary Aylesbeare. She is a registered RIBA Conservation Architect and works closely with local listed building officers, English Heritage and Church Faculties. The Practice concentrates on smaller projects, extensions, barn conversions and conservation area work but has also been involved in projects up to £9 million. Sarah’s knowledge of modern architecture is invaluable when adding modern insertions into listed fabric or a new dwelling in a conservation area.

Graduating in engineering from Cambridge, Innes joined Max Fordham’s London office to design systems at the Royal Festival Hall Auditorium and develop the acoustics team. He founded their Bristol office in 2013, overseeing local and listed cultural projects as well as new residential and educational developments. He combines detailed knowledge of delivering sustainable new and refurbished buildings with an overview of the energy and sustainability planning context of construction projects and an understanding of the way physics and comfort relate to building fabric and architecture.

Funda is a creative freelancer and lecturer with unique experience as Urban Designer, Architect, Educator, Expert Witness, Photographer, Writer and founder member of not for profit collective ‘Architecture Is…’ in Bath. She has specialist experience in regeneration, conservation, retrofit and zero carbon design and in achieving quality designs in charity, policy and planning contexts. Funda also develops accessible and inclusive community consultation methods to engage diverse communities in design proposals for the places they live.

Warren is an Urban Designer and Heritage Professional with over 25 years' experience in master planning, urban design, heritage consultation and the design of public realm schemes. He has worked on urban regeneration proposals, heritage projects and wider placeshaping initiatives for local authorities. In private practice, he previously led the Placeshaping team at Balfour Beatty, working on a number of major urban design, regeneration and streetscape projects. Warren currently works on projects establishing the links between the design of the built environment and quality of life outcomes. He has advised on neighbourhood plans and has expertise in community engagement workshops, Building for Healthy Life and design coding.

Claire is a highly creative Chartered Architect and Retrofit Coordinator/Designer with 15 years industry experience. She is currently an Associate at Askew Cavanna Architects. Her passion is working with existing buildings to create energy efficient, beautiful, inclusive places that bring social, environmental and economic value through design. She has worked on a number of award winning projects including the Soil Association HQ and Docklands Youth & Community Centre, both in Bristol. Claire is also a Board of Trustees for the Centre for Sustainable Energy, a charity supporting people and organisations to tackle the climate emergency and end cold homes.
